Berg celebrates inclusion

Berg Engineering is proud to support International Women’s Day reflecting the Company’s commitment to ensuring as many women as possible have an opportunity to participate and make a strong contribution to Australian manufacturing.

International Women’s Day is a global celebration of the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women, marked annually on 8 March. Established at the start of the 20th century, and growing out of the labour and suffrage movements, the day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality worldwide.

This year’s campaign theme underscores the crucial role of inclusion in achieving gender equality. It calls for action to break down barriers, challenge stereotypes, and create environments where all women are valued and respected.

Inspire Inclusion encourages everyone to recognize the unique perspectives and contributions of women from all walks of life, including those from marginalized communities.

Berg Engineering Principal Partner Nilu Berg said women were instrumental to the company’s success and the appointment and support of women at every stage of their career was a priority.

“At Berg, we want to foster an inclusive working environment where it’s common to see women in all leadership roles across the organisation and where we reap the very real benefits of having diverse voices and opinions,” Ms Berg said.

“Berg has created flexible working conditions and removed barriers that prevent staff from reaching their full potential.”

Berg Engineering supports equality and diversity in the workplace. This includes but is not limited to our commitment to women in non-traditional trade roles within the business. Berg’s support staff (administration, technical, estimating, scheduling, and management team) is made up of over 20% women.
