To provide value-adding solutions that reduce operating costs, maximise performance, and extend asset life. We achieve this by applying holistic, responsive engineering solutions at every stage of an asset’s life cycle, and by staying true to what makes us unique: precision, collaboration, trust, and experience.
Having built a reputation for excellence on the back of two generations of family passion; at Berg our team is our family. We know their kids, their parents, their personal legacies. What’s more, we all work together.
Our reputation for on time and on budget delivery is what sets Berg apart from our competitors and with our industry leading facilities in our Brisbane, Gladstone and New Caledonia workshops, Berg can comfortably deliver contracts up to $15 million in value.
We provide a culturally safe environment for our staff and communities through recognition of our first peoples.
High school students have toured Berg’s Brisbane site to learn more about a career in manufacturing and welding.
Headquartered in Brisbane and with bases in the Asia Pacific we strive to provide our clients with intelligent asset lifecycle management solutions that reduce operating costs, maximise performance and extend asset life; all the while ensuring we meet our ISO accredited quality, environmental and safety standards.
Berg have invested more than $5million to acquire and house the state-of-the-art Titan SC 40/50-4HY Double Column Vertical Boring & Turning Mill.
Berg Engineering has provided engineered rail solutions for over 51 years and continues to be a single source provider for all types of machined components.
BERG
Pump Repair & Refurbishment
For over 45 years Berg has been providing cost effective, quality repairs and upgrade services to lower maintenance cost, improve mean time between repairs and reduce the total costs of ownership.
Berg can performance engineer your pumps and rotable assets to optimise production or conserve resources; turning your old, obsolete or inefficient pumps to better than new condition.
We can manufacture replacement obsolete pumps or repair and recondition all brands of pumps, even those no longer supported by the OEM. We cater for all your needs and offer a one stop shop for all your pump and rotating equipment, ensuring you have one less thing to worry about.
Whether the project is large or small, we offer a range of Services & Solutions for the following types of pumps and equipment.
By transferring rotational energy from driven rotors, known as impellers, a centrifugal pump moves fluid. Through the vane tips of the rapidly rotating impeller, fluid enters along its axis and is ejected along its circumference by centrifugal force.
Powered by two or more rotating lobes around parallel shafts, rotary lobe pumps are positive displacement pumps. Among the sectors where they are used are food & beverage processing, and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
Water accumulated in a sump pit or tank is drained using a sump pump. Sump pits and tanks are usually located in the basement of a home. It consists of a man-made tank that has been buried to collect water.
Among the types of submersible pumps are submersible borehole pumps. Powered by a submersible motor, they are centrifugal pumps. They must constantly be submerged in fluid, since they usually pull in fluid directly without a suction line.
rubber helix stator, these pumps are robust and highly efficient. Within the stator, the rotor creates cavities and pumps the liquid through them.
Slurry pumps work on a much simpler principle than other pumps. Circular motion is imparted to the slurry by the rotating impeller. During centrifugal force, the slurry is pushed outwards and travels through the impeller blades.
Split casing pumps have the casing split either perpendicularly or radially across the shaft so that maintenance can be done easily on internal pump parts. An impeller designed to produce high volume streams is used in double-suction pumps / pipeline pumps.
Liquid ring vacuum pumps provide process vacuum in a variety of industrial environments, including chemical, electric power, environmental, food & beverage processing and packaging, marine, mining, oil & gas, pharmaceutical, pulp & paper, and textile.
The positive displacement pump applies force to the fluid by means of a piston or plunger.
Centrifugal pumps that use turbine-like impellers with radially oriented teeth are known as turbine pumps.
A turbine pump is commonly used for applications requiring high head, low flow, and compact size.
Water can be removed from underground reservoirs or wells with a vertical turbine pump.
