Avi Narayan is an experienced Engineering Manager with over 20 years of experience in oil and gas, mining, manufacturing, and heavy industry. At Berg Engineering, he leads mechanical design, rotatable asset optimisation, and workshop integration, delivering engineered solutions that enhance asset reliability, extend equipment life, and reduce total cost of ownership.

With a strong background in diagnosing complex mechanical failures, developing refurbishment strategies, and executing advanced component design, Avi leverages CAD, FEA, and 3D scanning to translate technical insights into high-performance, practical solutions. He combines hands-on technical delivery with team mentoring and knowledge transfer, ensuring engineering outcomes are robust, innovative, and commercially effective. Avi holds a Master of Engineering (Mechanical) with Distinction from Central Queensland University and is currently pursuing a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, focused on advanced machining processes and surface integrity. His professional experience is complemented by project management credentials (PMP) and a history of lecturing in Mechanical Engineering, which strengthened his leadership and mentoring capabilities.
