Gearbox Refurbishments
Berg can provide a variety of gearbox solutions that will reduce capital and maintenance expenditure while improving cashflow and increasing production availability. Our gearbox solutions range from the manufacture of individual components to full refurbishment to turnkey solutions. We can also manufacture gearboxes to fit the existing plant infrastructure where OEM products are obsolete.
Valves
Berg Soot Blower Valves – this Berg-designed valve is used to blow high pressure steam at 5000psi into boiler tubes with the aid of a special lance designed to go into the boiler tubes and blow out the soot that builds up inside the flame tubes of a boiler system. The satellite seat is the part of the valve that is under the most stress and often is the failing point that causes the power station to shut down and replace the valve. The Berg design incorporates a replaceable seat and is the first soot blower valve that we are aware of in the world with a replaceable seat.
Slurry Valves – Berg has over 50 years of experience refurbishing severe service slurry valves, with in-house capabilities to manage the complete process from initial strip and assessment through to reassembly and testing. This includes NATA-accredited NDT inspections, specialised welding and machining, component repair, re-engineering and manufacture of parts, hydrostatic testing, and the delivery of detailed condition, repair, and MDR reports. Our facilities are equipped to service all major valve brands
Pressure Safety Valves – Berg has over 20 years PSV experience and is capable of servicing all makes and models of valves up to 6000psig (41,000kPag) up to DN150 flanges and valves up DN600 150LB. We utilise up to date equipment including a Kemet 20 Lapping Machine to archive the correct flatness and exemplary quality.
Pump Repairs & Replacements
Berg have the capability to undertake full pump removal, installation and re-manufacture of pump components including impellers, wear rings, shafts, casings, stuffing boxes and sleeves. We can also perform laser coupling alignments, enabling us to laser survey the motor and pump bases and then mill them flat onsite if required to provide cost and time savings for our clients.
Agitator Blades & Stub Shafts for Autoclaves
Berg is an original equipment supplier of uniquely designed long lasting agitator blade and stub shaft repair components. We have carried out extensive research regarding material grades, coating options and techniques, and the causes and management of cavitation resulting in significant product improvements.
Pulleys & Complex Conveyor Assemblies
Berg has a long history of manufacturing and refurbishing conveyor pulleys for the coal, gold and alumina industries. With capability to produce equipment over 1,200mm diameter and over 3,000m in length, we are well-equipped to support a wide multitude of conveyor pulley set-ups.
Crushers & Crushing Wear Parts
We have decades of experience in the provision of repair and refurbishment services for jaw crushers and impact crushers, successfully maintaining even the largest of crusher components. Our aim with every job is to improve service life and mechanical efficiencies.

Cathode Bars
We are one of only a handful of suppliers with the technology to manufacture copper core cathode collector bars in the Asia Pacific region.
We have developed our own unique drilling machine for precise drilling and copper core placement, which is both cost and time efficient for our many non-ferrous mining and mineral processing clients.
