In 2018 Berg were engaged by the Sojitz Corporation to undertake an overhaul of a number of track pads used at their Minerva Coal Mine in Central Queensland. As part of the project, the staff at Bergs’ Gladstone workshop were able to develop and implement a refurbishment solution that saw the hardening of pushes and pins to extend the life of the track pads. This solution provides Sojitz with significant future savings due to the increased longevity of the track pads in the field.
