Overview
The OEM pumps had issues with reliability due to corrosion and replacement parts were costly with long waiting periods; the client needed a solution to extend the life of the pump and reduce costs. Berg were able to design and manufacture a new pump that featured advanced non-metallic column bearings and specific material selection to ensure a reduction in the surface area effect of galvanic corrosion. This new design offered the client a number of benefits including increased reliability, less maintenance material cost and labour hours and greater ease in identifying and ordering spare parts and rebuilding on site.
