Overview
This project saw Berg develop explosively bonded Titanium Flanges with complete supply chain control and quality management functions incorporating multiple engineering suppliers across the globe. Berg sourced and established the international supply chain and quality council to bring this upgrade in on time and under budget.
The Berg project team adopted a collaborative partnering approach with Newcrest management who were very supportive of managing cashflow with Berg. In turn, the team were still able to deliver the project on time despite last minute engineering changes and other unplanned delays that may occur in any complex build. A good example of what can be achieved between a large public company and an SME working together.
