CNC Machinists | Brisbane & Gladstone
Roster: Initial 3-month casual duration with potential to move to permanent. Working Monday to Friday, 8-hour days with some overtime available.

Key Responsibilities
- Comply with Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements.
- Undertake Machining operations on a wide range of mining and heavy engineering equipment, including valves, pumps, rolling stock, etc.
- Preparation of reports detailing defects detected.
- Compiling inspection reports including final measurements.
- Undertaking and recording calibrations of tooling.
- Report to the Supervisor on any issues affecting machine performance, calibration issues and/or other non-conformances.
- Daily maintenance of machines and tooling.
- Present ideas for improvements to workshop process to leading hand/supervisor.
- Supervision of apprentices assigned to them.
- Provide technical support throughout the organisation.
- Participate in the continual improvement of the Quality, Safety and Environmental Management Systems by giving feedback on the organisation.
Keterampilan & Pengalaman
- Trade Qualified Fitter/Machinist (Essential)
- 3-5 Years post trade experience
- Conventional machining experience would be advantageous
- Current Drivers Licence

Senior Mechanical Engineer | Indonesia

Berg Engineering is expanding in Indonesia, and we’re looking for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to help drive the next chapter of our engineering capability.
This is more than a traditional engineering role. You’ll work directly with customers across mining, minerals processing, power generation, manufacturing, and other heavy industries to solve complex engineering challenges, improve asset reliability, and deliver practical engineering solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead engineering assessments, failure investigations, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
- Develop practical engineering solutions through 3D scanning, CAD modelling, and engineering analysis
- Build strong technical relationships with customers
- Support and develop local engineering capability by working with consultants, workshops, and technical partners
- Collaborate closely with Berg’s Australian engineering team on challenging industrial projects
Keterampilan & Pengalaman
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of industrial mechanical engineering experience
- Experience working within mining, minerals processing, power generation, manufacturing, or similar heavy industries
- Strong understanding of maintainable equipment, including pumps, valves, fans, material handling equipment, and other critical production assets
- Demonstrated experience in Root Cause Analysis (RCA), engineering, and component life extension
- Experience working closely with workshops, machining, welding, fabrication, and refurbishment activities
- Practical experience using SolidWorks, 3D scanning, CAD modelling, and engineering analysis tools
- Strong written and spoken communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English
- Professional engineering registration (or eligibility for registration) with Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia (PII) is desirable
- Most importantly, you are a practical, hands-on engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with customers, and continuously developing your engineering capability.
