Over a recent four-week time frame, Berg Engineering’s’ Onsite Team undertook valve replacement works at the Gladstone Area Water Board Treatment Plant. Works included removal of existing valves, replacement with Principal supplied valves and installation of compressed air lines and regulators to air operated actuators.
The project saw Berg’s Onsite Team working collaboratively with GAWB representatives and other subcontractors, including specialist Cranage providers, to adopt a “one team” approach to delivering the works. Effective management of the program and the Safety Management Plan were critical to the success of the works with Berg managing confined space requirements for all trades and other contractors while ensuring the works were completed within the tight time constraints required for water isolations.
