Meet Donoly Muchinguri – celebrating 10 years of service at Berg

Donoly Muchinguri migrated to Australia from Zimbabwe in 2006. His family wasn’t far behind and joined him a few months later. They have remained in Gladstone ever since.

When asked about the life changing move, Donoly explains “The best thing I ever did was migrate my family to Queensland. I love the weather and the relaxed family lifestyle that this beautiful state provides me. I have been incredibly lucky to secure a role at Berg’s Gladstone facility immediately after moving here and have enjoyed working at Berg, strengthening my skill set along the way. I have also enjoyed the close friendships I have made”

After commencing his career with Berg as a Machine Shop Machinist in 2006, Donoly welcomed a variety of responsibilities, continuously striving to grow his skills. He is currently the Fitting Bay (Fitter) and this year celebrates 10 years of service at Berg.

When asked what his plan is for the next 10 years, Donoly explains “I plan to continue to grow with Berg and where there is an opportunity to develop more skills and responsibilities, I will be happy to do so. Berg is a company that has built its foundation on family values which is important to me”

That same family passion is evident throughout all of Berg’s facilities. In Brisbane, we have seen our project Engineer’s younger brother – Michael Harris – complete his apprenticeship and now working on large, impressive projects for our clients.  Furthermore in our New Caledonia facility, our Directeur Général Vincent Baert’s son, Hugo Baert will commence his apprenticeship later this year.

We would like to congratulate Donoly and Michael on their outstanding service and dedication at Berg and we look forward to Hugo joining the team.
